GUIDELINES FOR ORAL PRESENTATIONS AND POSTERS
Oral presentations are for 8 minutes, with an additional 2 minutes for questions and discussion (with exception of invited speakers for the Early Course - Surgical Procedures).
Please format slides in widescreen 16:9 using PowerPoint on screen page set-up function. Slides formatted at 4:3 can be shown, but there will be some blank screen to the sides of the slide. Please make slides easily readable with large text and do not cram too much information onto each slide.
Please upload slides in the speaker ready room on the day before your presentation. Please check carefully that all videos run correctly and ensure that you have uploaded all the necessary files.
Hard copy posters of maximum size A0 in portrait format (0.841m width by 1.189 height).
We have increased the emphasis on posters this year, with one hour sessions for coffee and posters on Thursday and Saturday mornings. All posters are displayed for the whole conference, but presenters of odd numbered posters are asked to stand by their posters during the Thursday morning poster session and presenters of even numbered posters during the Saturday morning session.
Please put your poster up on Wednesday afternoon and leave it up until the end of the meeting. Every author is responsible for hanging their poster with the help of the congress staff. Posters will be arranged by topic. Each poster board will have the abstract ID number and author name, for identification purpose. Please make sure you know your abstract ID number.
RAPID FIRE POSTERS
For abstracts accepted as Rapid Fire Posters, you are invited to present your results orally in the John Lee Rapid Fire Poster Session (Friday morning). Each presentation is for 3 minutes, with 2 minutes for questions. Maximum of 4 slides including the title slide. This is in addition to displaying your poster as normal.
